What is this program all about?

The Blue Dot Program provides a referral “safe harbor” on risk management for a referring insurance agent that may not have a market or may not have a good understanding of a particular risk class.

The Blue Dot program was created by Joseph C. McBride back in 1962 as a way of identifying a client that was referred by another insurance agent to protect that referring agent from competition. It allows the referring agent a safe, reliable, and professional partner without any concerns that partner will solicit the lines of coverage the referring agent currently handles for that client. We call it “Blue Dot” because in those days there were no electronic client files so in order to make sure we honored our oath the file was marked with a Blue Dot. Paper or electronic, that same oath is still in play to this day. Our mission is to provide outstanding service and professional risk management guidance. We are here to compliment the referring insurance agent, we are not asking for leads; we just want to be a resource and an extended service to your insurance clients.

Here are some risk classes we can help with:

  • Professional Liability (Error & Omission)
  • Product Liability
  • Builders Risk (all sizes)
